Sienna Pacific by Linx Corporation is my go to place for custom clothing labels. They offer a wide variety of labels and other products like patches, pins, and stickers to help make your business stand out. Every month Sienna Pacific hosts a giveaway to win their products. Aside from being a professional makeup artist Svio is also a talented model. She inquired to model my safety pin necklace after she did makeup for the ShelbyJean photoshoot. She scheduled two photoshoots; one with Nathan Paul photography the other with DayJaVUE Photography. Every month Juju Foto Factory hosts a variety of photography workshops and exhibits. The fashion designer showcase is my favorite series of workshops. This workshop series is hosted once a month and features a local fashion designer along with 3 models, hairstylists, makeup artists,  jewelry designers, and a wardrobe stylist. Last month I was involved with a candy themed photoshoot at the factory. This is by far the biggest collaboration I have been involved in! My models were Dominique Bedford, Lindsay Paige, and Nebraska Frey along with Mel Martell of Ricky Hodge Salon and Ricky Magallanez of MAC cosmetics, wardrobe stylist and event coordinator Jessica Clark, jewelry provided by Industry Chains, timepieces by Tikkr, artistic backdrop by Jason Ice, and cupcakes by Polkadots Cupcake Factory. Austin’s best wig boutique Coco Coquette will be hosting a fashion show at the ND (501 Brushy) on Tuesday, October 25th. This is not an ordinary fashion show, Coco Coquette’s fashion productions combine fashion, wigs, and performance into one big glittery spectacle – think Flashdance with wigs! Unlike other fashion shows, they have done away with models taking a cursory trip down the runway – instead they use dancers and performers to work it out for an entire song while wearing an over-the-top show stopping piece by local designers.  This year’s Halloween spectacle is titled “Beautiful Monsters!” My “monster” is a Siamese Twin, meaning I have to create a look for two models to fit into and dance in! I have one week left to complete my costume and a fitting on Thursday. My models have been busy rehearsing their routine while I have been busy sewing.

I received some awesome news this week from the directors of Camp Kickitoo, the film is officially completed. The film is being submitted to film festivals in hopes of finding a distributor. After submitting to festivals there is talk about setting up a private screening. For now I received an IMDB credit and my design featured on the movie poster!

Last weekend I met photographer JoAnna McCray and model Alexis Morgan at Zilker Park, where Austin City Limits was two weeks prior. I brought along four looks and we improvised the entire shoot. Now that I have photos of a majority of my new collection I’m hoping to post it for sale on etsy soon!

I could not resist another opportunity to collaborate with model ShelbyJean. I mailed her a look from my Austin Fashion Week collection for an upcoming photoshoot with DayJaVue Photography. The collaboration also included makeup artist Svio and Rockstarwig.com. Once again I am blown away by the image ShelbyJean provided me with. I hope to arrange many more shoots with her!
