This afternoon I was informed by Wendy Rose Gould from Wendy’s Gems, a DIY fashion blog in South Korea that showcases “hidden treasures from the interweb,” that I was featured on her website. A photo of LuxNichole in my handmade light pink tutu taken by Billy Bradford headlined her daily blog. In her article “Dream a little dream”, Wendy dares readers to sport a tutu, have carefree spirits, and wear a tutu for any occasion or non-occasion!

LuxNichole in Pink Petal Tutu

All the chaos and anxiety is over from the spring fashion show, so now it’s time for new projects. I am in the works of scheduling several photo shoots over the course of this month for my spring ’09 look book. I then plan to submit my designs to various magazines for possible publication and visit boutiques in Upstate New York to sell wholesale pieces of my collection.

I am now working on my Fall ’09 collection that is inspired by rock ‘n’ roll glam. I am moved by Balmain’s Autumn/Winter 08-09 collection, Rodarte’s bondage-inspired Fall ‘09 pieces, and Alexander McQueen’s kaleidoscope prints. I plan on making a military vest with gold trims, tiered skirts, and sheer capes. Think Hendrix, Bowie, and Alice Cooper!
